Private hire journeys must be booked before pick-up
In France, private hire drivers can only carry passengers who have booked in advance. You cannot hail a private hire vehicle on the street or get into one at a taxi rank without a booking. To arrange your journey, we agree the following with you:

When should you choose a private hire driver?
A private hire driver can be suitable for a range of journeys, provided the service is booked in advance.
A planned personal journey
Whether you have an appointment, an evening out, a private event or another personal journey, you can book a driver once you know your timings and route.
A long-distance journey
A private hire driver may also be an option for a planned journey beyond the local area. Send us your full itinerary so we can confirm what we can offer and on what terms.
Several planned journeys
If your day includes several confirmed appointments or stops, tell us how you would like the travel to be arranged. Depending on your request, we can consider a suitable service. Any chauffeur hire by the hour is agreed when booking; it is not offered here as a standard package.

Private hire drivers for business travel
A private hire driver can be a suitable choice for a meeting or an occasional business journey.
If you need to communicate in English during your journey, please mention this when booking so we can confirm whether an English-speaking driver is available.

Taxi or private hire: different ways to travel
Taxis and private hire drivers both provide passenger transport, but the services operate differently.
Advance booking is required: your journey is agreed beforehand.
Taxis operate under their own rules and may pick up passengers without an advance booking where their authorisation allows it.
